The Avalon team performed tenant improvement services on a core and shell space for a high-end barbershop, Barber Walter’s in the middle of downtown Wellesley, Massachusetts. The space consists of 895 square feet including an ADA bathroom, janitor’s closet, and back storage. The scope of work included engineered wood flooring throughout, adding to the existing plumbing system to include hair washing sinks and electrical system for additional outlets, data, pendant, and track lighting. The scope also included a large millwork package for the apothecary area and the cutting stations. The Avalon team finished off the store with a barber pole with light and motor on the exterior of the unit. The Avalon team completed the project on time and within budget.
This project was originally awarded to The Vertex Companies, LLC, and transferred to Avalon Construction in December 2025.
