The Avalon team was contracted to do a stair cut through and an office expansion in a downtown Denver class A office building. The expansion included a 12,000 plus sf buildout with a stair cut through from 18th to 19th floors, connecting the two suites. The tenant was in need of connecting the two suites as the teams on the different floors were not very well connected and the stair cut through helped the office culture. The project involved structural steel after cutting through a concrete floor, which was challenging as the suite was occupied the entire time. The Avalon team utilized temporary walls to help minimize the construction noise. The Avalon team left a satisfied client with a beautiful new space.
This project was originally awarded to The Vertex Companies, LLC, and transferred to Avalon Construction in December 2025.
