Tenant Improvement on Market Street in Denver

Share Project:

The Avalon Construction team completed a full-floor buildout at 1624 Market Street, a historic building that still shows signs of serving as a slaughterhouse in the 1800s. Since then it has been used for various purposes and is now a trendy mixed-use building. The architect chose to highlight the rustic wood beams as well as leaving the century-old brick exposed. Skylights and original exterior windows light up an open office space with perimeter huddle rooms and offices. The Avalon team was able to salvage a large vat from the building’s past and repurpose it into an iconic and functional piece of the conference room. The end result was a unique office space featuring a stunning view of Denver’s Union Station complete with the perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities.

This project was originally awarded to The Vertex Companies, LLC, and transferred to Avalon Construction in December 2025.
